In Oklahoma city I was working for “Sunray”, a lighting maintenance company that was later bought out be GTE Sylvainia. It was by far the best job I had had so far, good working conditions with mostly new equipment and great pay…
The downside was that the whole crew including myself, with the exception of the manager were stoners, constant stoners..

We worked on high rise lighted signs 50 – 75 feet in the air, and the tops of skyscrapers stoned to the max…We drove huge ladder trucks across town and throughout the midwest…higher than kites. The good part is no one got hurt, or busted…This couldn’t last long though, I graduated to doing “speed”, white crosses is what they were and finally got so that I couldn’t do the job anymore, at that time I was on the road between OKC and Little Rock every week and home on the weekends.

My Marriage was suffering though I didn’t see it so clear at the time…I finally got involved with a little waitress, had a fling and that was the end of it…
