World’s largest army
I ran across this and thought I’d share…
After the Japanese decimated our fleet in Pearl Harbor Dec 7, 1941, they could have sent their troop ships and carriers directly to California to finish what they started. The prediction from our Chief of Staff was we would not be able to stop a massive invasion until they reached the Mississippi River . Remember, we had a 2 million man army and war ships in other localities, so why did they not invade?
After the war, the remaining Japanese generals and admirals were asked that question. Their answer….they knew that almost every home had guns and the Americans knew how to use them.
The world’s largest army…America’s hunters! I had never thought about this….
A blogger added up the deer license sales in just a handful of states and arrived at a striking conclusion:
There were over 600,000 hunters this season in the state of Wisconsin.
Allow me to restate that number.
Over the last several months, Wisconsin ‘s hunters became the eighth largest army in the world.
More men under arms than in Iran.
More than in France and Germany combined.
These men deployed to the woods of a single American state to hunt with firearms, and no one was killed.
That number pales in comparison to the 750,000 who hunted the woods of Pennsylvania and Michigan’s 700,000 hunters, All of whom have now returned home.
Toss in a quarter million hunters in West Virginia and it literally establishes the fact that the hunters of those four states alone would comprise the largest army in the world.
The number of Hunters in the state of Texas would be the largest standing army in the world by it’s self.
The point?
America will forever be safe from foreign invasion with that kind of home-grown firepower.
Hunting — it’s not just a way to fill the freezer. It’s a matter of national security.
That’s why all enemies, foreign and domestic, want to see us disarmed.
Not ready for this
At this time I am just not willing to give a further shit about anything other than my friends, what family claims me, and my dog.

The following is the latest chapter written for including into my life story all of which can be found here.
Let me begin this chapter by telling the reader that the following can not be proven to be fact. I only ask that you read with an open mind and compare what can be seen in everyday life to what was happening then and is happening to this day….In other words, the Government can, and will do whatever it can to retain power.
No one wanted to break the law…We wanted the Government to uphold the law.
The Problem was, and still is..
the Government doesn’t want the people to know who the boss really is.
A search of the words “posse commitatus” will bring up all kinds of sites these days with labels such as terrorists, right wing, racist, etc. But the truth is, in my case, we were trying to tell the American people how they were being sold out to big business and enslaved by their own Government, that’s how it started anyway…
Some of those sites will tell you that one person “possibly” started the organization, No… There were many..They were rightly called, among other things, “Identity”, they were deeply religious in their views towards the modern world, and they believed in the concept of freedom as the forefathers put forth in the Constitution.
Some of those sites will mention one person as the “leader” of the group, No again, there is no one leader…Had there been One Leader, we might have been less apt to go off on our own tangents leading some of us to our downfall.
The truth of the group at Tigerton’s beginnings is that long before there was anyone else there, a local land owner and respected business man who owned a dance hall and tavern outside the town was in the process of building an outside recreation area for the locals. In an effort to make his land more safe for swimmers he added sand to a beach on the river that ran though the area.
The DNR took exception and attempted to confiscate his land…some 2 sections of pristine Wisconsin hardwoods.
This man invited a few people to move onto the property and live free of charge, and a church was formed from the group that came, and the land was turned into church property, every bit as legal as the Baptist or Catholic church….
Most of the local people sympathized with his cause, he had grown up there and knew about everyone.
He also had a long running feud with the local town board due to their wanting to take over his land for the town.
This inviting outsiders to live on the land of course intensified into bad feelings between the board and the group.
In the beginning we were always on alert for anything going down…We were called to a house in town that was being searched by 4-5 agents of the DNR for illegal venison, they had a warrant for the garage but not the house…They had searched the garage and found nothing (there was nothing to find), but then they walked right past the lady who was the only one home at the time and went into her house. She put a call in to us and when we showed up and demanded they show a warrant for the house, they at first blustered about how they were the law etc…
But then someone mentioned that they were not only out numbered they were out gunned, and they were there illegally and if they didn’t leave “right now” they would be placed under citizen’s arrest and detained for the Sheriff…They left.
They left and would not come back into the area for anything after that…even if there was a “poacher” called in they stayed away.
In the first years of our being at Tigerton, the state/local officials seemed to look the other way whenever there was a confrontation or violation of the law unless it was a felony…
Long story shortened…
So in the end, and as it still does today, the Government sent in undercover agents who infiltrated all the groups and agitated for an escalation, falling just short of over throwing the Government….Which of course led to the intensified involvement of the Federal, State, and Local Authorities, even the National guard.
They came in completely destroying the homes and lives of all those there…There are too many instances to mention here but let it suffice to say that the families living there lost everything they had worked for and built..
They confiscated most of the land and turned it over to the town, and after they had control, they fenced it off and turned it into a ATV trail ruining the almost virgin woodlands.
The things they did, although legal, were both devilish and mean. They used cover of the law to run rough shod over entire families and destroyed everything in sight.
..And the local television stations loved the drama..
In retrospect, I imagine it is a good thing that the events took place then and not now… Had it been today, we all would be incarcerated as terrorists without any means of appeal or self defense.
The Tigerton group has long since disbanded, some went on to join other like minded people in order to continue telling what we saw as the truth. Some such as myself have gone on to try to live in relative obscurity, waiting for the day of reckoning and letting the people find out for themselves, the hard way, that they have no hope as long as this system of Government exists.

Sunday marked the last day that Rob and I spent together since way back before Christmas. He has moved on to hopefully bigger and better things. I will miss having him around, we had some really good times. |
Today also marks the beginning of my last days here where I’ve been staying in Phillips. I will be staying back down at Ogema for the rest of the winter (or colder days).
I hope to get things situated there enough to spread out my roll-a-way bed amidst the piles of rendezvous stuff and accumulated junk. Hopefully I can heat the house enough to at least keep it above freezing….we shall see.
I had to use 4 wheel drive to get in the driveway there, the kid that lives there is supposed to keep the thing plowed but has more time to do other things than fix his plow truck, (one of about 10 trucks), and he lost my only shovel….sigh….
Coming to a close
I thought with the year coming to an end soon, I would post some of the things that have most influenced my life this year.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I turned 67.
I became a great Grandfather again.
A son was born to my Granddaughter Lenora
whom she named Deklyn.
My youngest Granddaughter Marci moved into her own apartment with her boyfriend.
The depression that I harbored for so many years lessened somewhat with the realization that things would never be the way I want them to be here on the home place.
I composed a new CD with original songs on it.
The top fell in on our septic tank.
I took my first trip to the Tomahawk fall ride.
I lived with good friends for a short time, I consider them my family now.
My wife of 32 years Moved out…again… and wants a divorce.
*side note
Shes moving back in the trailer, knowing we can not share the same space anymore and me retain my sanity….such is the way of the self righteous.
A good friend whom I consider family stays with me.
My brother in Oklahoma calls me almost daily.
All these things happening at once leads me to believe there will be even greater changes in my life in 2012…
We shall see
Amazing video and a question
Here is the video…
The man in the video is Aged 96 and still smokes a pipe.
My grandmother aged 92 still dipped Garretts snuff, as did most all of her friends/relation whom I also knew in that age bracket.
They all ate much more “unhealthy” by today’s standards, yet they died from the same causes we die from today only later in life (for the most part).
My guess as to why the above is true would be that there have been more advances in the addition of harmful chemicals for financial gain by “big business”, than beneficial research by government agencies.
Is that a fair statement?
From BBC world news
China Central Television said farmers were overspraying their crops with the growth promoter, hoping they could get their fruit to market ahead of the peak season and increase their profits.
Ain’t it always that bottom line
